DESIGNA Is Part of Prestigious New Abu Dhabi Airport Midfield Terminal

This modern airport holds a prominent position in the global race for expanding luxury air travel and transfer points, expected to accommodate approximately 50 million passengers annually on a property spanning 742,000 m2. To break it down, this means a passenger flow of around 11,000 passengers per hour.

We are delighted and excited to announce that our parking facilities are part of this monumental project. As a market leader in airport parking solutions, we are well-equipped to manage the visitor flow through our parking solutions.

The highly anticipated Midfield Terminal is designed to be state-of-the-art and ultra-modern, making it a perfect fit for our smarter solutions, a specialty of Designa. One of our intelligent solutions is the hybrid payment system, which enables and encourages the transition to a cashless institution. Initially, visitors will have the option to pay cashless or with cash. However, as time progresses, there will be an option to eliminate cash payments altogether. With this forward-thinking feature, we aim for a long-term cooperation, ensuring that the facilities grow alongside society and its needs.

To manage the capacity of approximately 11,000 passengers per hour, we installed 11 IN terminals, totaling 15 LANE 600 Slim devices (IN/OUT), 24 gates, 16 PAY COINLESS stations, and 24 License-plate-recognition (LPR) cameras, along with personalized software. The terminal parking is fully equipped with our CONNECT series. As digital solutions are our standard, ticketless payment is also possible.
