BUGA 2023: Designa Equips BUGA With CONNECT Series

Just under a month ago, the Bundesgartenschau (BUGA) 2023 opened its gates and doors in Mannheim. Under the motto "Best views" (og. Beste Aussichten), visitors get a glimpse of the topics of the future - and can literally enjoy a great view at the same time. The BUGA does not only convince with important content and food for thought, but also with various exhibitions, colorful flowers, and architectural eye-catchers.
In many ways, BUGA is thus sowing seeds for the future.

Designa is part of it - because progressive thinking is also what we do. And so we are pleased to have equipped the BUGA's park arrangements with our CONNECT series.
Around 2.1 million visitors are expected on the grounds of the BUGA by October - so a smart infrastructure is a must.

24 In/Out terminals, 22 gates, 22 cameras, 14 cashless/cash & card checkouts as well as additional poles, traffic lights and guides were installed on the parking grounds - an all-inclusive service package designed to make visitors' stay at the BUGA as carefree as possible.

In a tight time frame of only six weeks, our team worked at full speed to create a personalized parking structure for the event, which had to be ready for the opening on April 14th.

We were also on site for the opening to ensure a smooth launch and to celebrate the project together. Even after the official opening, we are still in constant communication to make spontaneous adjustments to the equipment if necessary. Our regional branch offices enable us to be always quickly on site.

Our personalized parking structure, that we individually created for BUGA, is designed to allow visitors a relaxed visit, with full focus on the event - no complicated search for parking spaces and -machines. The parking slot can be booked online in advance the and parking process can be ticketless and with license plate recognition.

Following the motto "Best views", BUGA and Designa show what is possible - and point the way to a smarter future.

For a hassle-free visitor flow the parking spaces are located a little bit outside the BUGA grounds, but are connected to the venue by shuttle buses, so that everyone can get to their destination without any detours.
