DESIGNA 2015 - Look back

2015 is coming to an end. It has gone by extremely quickly. For DESIGNA it was a year of growth and many highlights, which we would like to look back on.

From New York via Texas to California: With 12 motivated partners between the east coast and the west coast, DESIGNA Verkehrsleittechnik has increased the size of its business area considerably, particularly in the USA. Thanks to successful products such as Cloud Services, Web & App applications and valet parking, DESIGNA is setting standards time and time again with regard to networking, security and flexibility here and in other areas. DESIGNA USA then also provided an insight into the modern world of parking in July at the IPI trade fair in Las Vegas, and also at the NPA in Miami in September.

qinkk parking app: Less than 4 weeks later, another new product was introduced. "qinkk" conquered the halls at the 2015 EPA congress / Parking trade fair in Berlin, Germany. The Beacon-based parking app from DESIGNA provides operators with the opportunity to communicate directly with their "anonymous" short-term parking customers. In future, these customers will be able to enter and leave without tickets using their smart devices and pay at the automatic pay station without having to register or log on beforehand. More orders and more room in the Kiel headquarters:
The first cut was made in the early summer – the extension to the production hall is now nearing completion. The fine details are currently being completed so that the production of high-quality parking management systems can start punctually in 2016 in the 860 square metre extension. It is urgently required, because the number of sales has increased considerably during the course of this year. In future, delivery times will be reduced and on-time delivery will be further optimised.

DESIGNA with three at the helm: Dipl.-Ing. Stefan Koch joined the management team at DESIGNA in 2015. As the CSO, he is responsible for the German Sales and Global Distribution areas. The graduate electrical engineer and sales professional has outstanding knowledge of the parking management industry. He has already been playing a decisive role within DESIGNA for quite some time, and has successfully developed the company over the last 12 years.

His targets are oriented to intensive market processing: "We have outstanding future perspectives in Germany, but particularly on a global basis as well, because of our innovative and individual industrial solutions. In order to achieve our growth targets, we will rely more and more on our powers of innovation and will consistently go in new directions."

With CEO Dr. Thomas Waibel, CTO Stefan Ille and CSO Stefan Koch, the DESIGNA management trio is in the best possible position for present and future challenges.
