Dahua Technology Provides Seamless Parking Experience at Danish Airport

A Danish airport, providing flights to over 90 destinations and catering for 3.5 million passengers every year has enlisted Dahua Technology to equip its indoor parking garage. As a world-leading video-centric smart IoT solution and service provider, Dahua Technology will help this Danish airport to manage their parking efficiently and improve the parking experience for travelers.

With 1217 spaces divided across two areas and three floors, the airport required a comprehensive, smart parking solution that would improve the parking experience for travelers and optimize operations for the parking management team.

Dahua’s easy to use, parking software, PMS PRO, offers parking management the opportunity to monitor occupancy, assess accidents, search through data and export reports. Through the integration of ANPR and video analytics, Dahua’s cost-effective parking guidance solution makes it easier for travelers to find unoccupied spaces and locate their vehicle on return to the parking garage.

On entry to the parking garage, travelers are directed to available parking by LED Signage (DHI-IPMPGI-1X0AC). With three-directional arrows and red/green bicolor display, the screens can display up to nine digits and three arrows.

The DHI-ITC314 series spot detection cameras indicate availability in up to six parking spaces with seven different colors, helping guide drivers directly into available spaces, and reducing search time. The spot detection camera is also capable of recognizing the vehicle license plate. It can then feed this information into the parking facility map, so that travelers can locate their vehicle within the garage, on their return.

The DHI-IPMPGS series Find My Car Series is proving a useful addition to the parking facility, as lots of drivers admit to having forgotten where their car is parked. Once a traveler has entered their license plate number into the kiosk, the screen shows the quickest route to the vehicle.
For the parking management team, the e-map made available through the PMS PRO platform offers a clear visual interface of the facility that makes it easy to monitor spaces and devices. Preview and playback functions provide real-time footage of facilities and vehicles, enabling the Find My Car system and providing video evidence of accidents.
