MEI Featured as “World’s Greatest!...” Unattended Payment Systems Company
West Chester, Pa. — MEI was recently spotlighted as the world’s greatest unattended payment systems company on the television show “World’s Greatest!...” on the Ion Network. This program, which features the world’s greatest companies, products, places and people, showcased MEI’s commitment to delivering the world’s most secure and reliable coin recognition systems, banknote validators, cash recyclers and other products that enable unattended transactions in the vending, retail, transit and gaming industries.
The episode highlighted MEI’s many technology “firsts” through the years, including its invention of the world’s first electronic coin mechanism and non-contact bill validator. These devices allow consumers to purchase goods and services from machines without the need for an attendant. The episode included interviews with Mike Hayes, MEI’s CEO, Jeff Jordan, president of MEI’s vending channel and Tom Shuren, chief technology officer.
“We are very proud that the show’s producers recognized MEI’s forty-year history as the world’s leading unattended payment systems provider,” said Mike Hayes, chief executive officer at MEI. “Our products consistently set technology standards and process over two billion transactions per week in more than one hundred countries.”
