Conduent Improves Parking Management and Payment Systems in the City of Santa Fe, N.M.
Using new online services, residents and tourists in the City of Santa Fe will have an easier way to pay for parking tickets, appeal citations, and request permits. Managed by Conduent Incorporated (NYSE: CNDT), the parking management system along with new in-field technology will streamline customer service and improve the City’s parking availability.
“The City of Santa Fe had a legacy parking system in place that wasn’t meeting its needs,” said Don Hubicki, general manager, Conduent, Public Sector, Transportation. “With Conduent’s innovative technology platforms and deep industry expertise, we can transform the way Santa Fe addresses its parking challenges and, in turn, provide citizens with better customer service.”
With Conduent's Violations Processing Service & System, citizens no longer need to mail in items or visit Santa Fe’s Parking Division Office in-person to take care of their parking needs. New system capabilities include:
- Web and phone payment services – Citizens will be able to pay their parking tickets online by visiting the City of Santa Fe’s website. Conduent will also provide an Interactive Voice Response system with a telephone number citizens can dial to pay their fines over the phone, as well as hear additional information about paying tickets and applying for parking permits.
- Online contesting – Citizens will have the ability to scan and upload the ticket they’d like to contest via Santa Fe’s website, then send their request for administrative review.
- Request and renew parking permits – Citizens will be able to easily request and renew many different types of on-street parking permits via the City’s website.
Santa Fe Parking Division employees will be able to review all documentation received online and manage that documentation through an automated workflow queue. From there, each document will be attached to a ticket record with one simple click so all documents are in one place, decreasing the time it takes to answer questions or make decisions about citations.
The processing system will also handle ticket noticing and other correspondence including decision letters, courtesy notices, insufficient funds letters and drive away letters.
Parking Enforcement Officers (PEOs) in Santa Fe will also receive new handheld devices equipped with CitySight®, Conduent’s cloud-enabled performance management system. The solution enables increased PEO efficiency and provides real-time operational data to help parking enforcement supervisors better manage workloads, make smart dispatching decisions and create high-performance teams of PEOs.
“We needed a parking system that could handle our city’s many nuances while providing our residents and visitors with modern-day conveniences,” said Noel Pinto Correia, Parking Division Director, Public Works Department, City of Santa Fe. “I’ve had the unique opportunity of working with Conduent’s parking team in two other cities, and trust that they will seamlessly bring Santa Fe’s parking system into the 21st century with efficiencies and conveniences that directly benefit our citizens and visitors.”
Conduent will upgrade the City of Santa Fe’s former parking management system and install CitySight on all handheld devices by the beginning of December 2017.
