CIRCONTROL provides to Queensgate shopping centre the power for electric cars!

It’s a new era for drivers of electric vehicles as Queensgate backs the eco move with new charging points…

Queensgate shopping centre has unveiled six new electric vehicle (EV) car charging points, located in the Green car park.  The new charging stations are free to use and are the next step in the centre’s pledge to reduce its impact on the environment.

Designed to be easy to use, the charging points allow green-minded shoppers to plug their vehicles in to recharge, leaving them free to shop for their essentials.

Shoppers simply enter the Green car park as normal (taking the ticket as a short time user or using the season ticket) and park in one of the dedicated EV charging bays, which can be found on level three.

They then plug their car into one of the six available chargers and follow the instructions given, activating the charge from the CIRCONTROL Multipoint terminal.

Once ready to leave the shopping centre, shoppers just pay for their parking at the pay station which has been interfaced with the Multipoint, then it is disconnect from the terminal.

The CIRCONTROL Multipoint installation marks the next step in the centre’s green initiatives, which have already led to numerous awards for the centre.

Just earlier this year, the centre was awarded with a prestigious Green Apple award, which commended the centre for its on-going dedication to lowering overall energy consumption.
