CIRCONTROL supply the first DC charger to Barcelona’s Nissan Technical Centre

CIRCONTROL, one of the leading European manufactures of electric vehicle charging systems, with own technology, production plants in Barcelona, 7.000 charging points sold (120 Quick chargers) and presence in 45 countries, has finalized the first installation of Quick charger with CHAdeMO protocol in NTCE-S of Barcelona.

Nissan Technical Centre Europe (Spain) is located in Barcelona’s Nissan plant. This plant has been chosen to produce the second vehicle 100% electric of Nissan. Nissan will produce e-NV200 in Spain to be supplied worldwide.

The Quick charger installed is a standard model of CCL-QPC-MIX.  It’s a compact charger that includes on the same housing the power module plus dispenser unit (AC / DC) and HMI with 8” to support the user during the charging procedure. The equipment is capable of supply 50 kW DC with CHAdeMO protocol and 32 kW AC mode 3 and type 2. This model is capable to recharge the battery from 20% to 80% in 10 minutes.

Nissan and Circontrol agree that the development of fast charging infrastructure for electric vehicles is a necessity and a challenge for the development of sustainable mobility globally. Both companies will continue to explore opportunities to expand its agreement for the installation of new quick charging points.
