UKs first solar panel from eTap, with the technology support of APT Technologies & CIRCONTROL
eTap has launched with the support of APT Technologies & CIRCONTROL an electric vehicle charging solution that comprises forty-five solar panels that form a canopy over six parking bays, each equipped with an electric vehicle charging station controlled by SMS.
The charging stations has been developed according to standard IEC 61851 and the system is ready to admit Mode 1 or Mode 3 charging mode. The information related to consumption, recharging time, user, etc.. of each parking bay is controlled by a SCADA software that shares this data with a database on the cloud that allows the payment by SMS. Furthermore, from the point of view of the management, the software allows to check graphics and statistics with the loading curve of the vehicles batteries, maximum demand, maximum current and other electrical data that ensures a proper charging of the EVs.
eTap was inaugurated by minister Norman Baker at the Centre for Engineering and Manufacturing Excellence (CEME).
