Arivo's Sophisticated Parking System in Use at Lufthansa Aviation Training

With the move to a new company building, Lufthansa Aviation Training Zurich has also implemented a new mobility concept. Arivo's flexible parking management system was the perfect solution to match.

Lufthansa Aviation Training, the leading flight and cabin training provider, is the merger of Lufthansa Flight Training and Swiss Aviation Training. At the end of 2019, the company moved into a new company building at its Zurich location, which offers state-of-the-art workplaces and tailor-made, innovative training solutions for its customers. In addition, a mobility concept was introduced, which offers employees an attractive and company-sponsored incentive to switch to public transport. Every employee can decide flexibly on a daily basis whether to come by car or to use the well-connected, cheaper public transport.

Since parking spaces are limited in the new area, a parking system had to be found that offers a flexible and demand-oriented solution. For  360 potential users there are only 80 parking spaces available. Employees and customers pay for the use of the parking spaces. With Arivo’s parking management, administration is now easy and billing is 100% transparent and automated.

Employees log in via customer WebApp entering credit card and license plate data. Thanks to automatic license plate recognition, they can enter the car park or outdoor parking lot at any time. The parking time is automatically debited from the credit card and the invoice with direct cost settlement is sent by e-mail.

Lufthansa Aviation Training is Arivo's first project in Switzerland. Another interface, the invitation system, will be integrated in addition. This will allow pilots who are booked for training in the simulator to receive an invitation and to access the parking area free of charge for the duration of the training. With that feature the total range of functions of the Arivo Parking solution can be utilized in the best possible way.
