Smart Parking re-shapes business units to future-proof growth

Smart Parking has forged two new business units from within its UK operations to ensure that the company continues the successful growth and development of its core market sectors.

The move will enable the business to accelerate the expansion of its UK management services business while cementing its position as one of the world’s leading parking technology providers.

Charlie Leaper assumes the role of UK & EMEA Managing Director for Smart Parking’s technology division.  Leaper has overseen the success of the company’s relationships with Westminster City Council and the London Borough of Camden, and has been integral to the development of a number of other customers looking to invest in Smart Parking technology.  His primary focus will be to grow the company’s technology installation base within the UK and across the EMEA region.

Susan Taylor assumes the role of UK Managing Director for Smart Parking’s management services business.  Taylor possesses significant management experience within the car parking industry with organisations including Westfield Shopping Towns and Vinci Park UK.  She will now assume responsibility for Smart Parking’s management services team, while continuing to work on the diversification of the company’s business development function.

Paul Gillespie, Smart Parking’s Group Chief Executive, said that the move would further advance the business’s ability to meet the needs of existing and potential clients across the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Africa in the months and years ahead.
