AeroParker Direct Barrier Integration with Skidata at London Stansted

Integrated into London Stansted's Car Park Management

ECommerce Platform

Airport Parking traditionally has many operational dependencies. Pre book, car park management, and barrier systems all need to work seamlessly together, but as with any system, this can mean multiple dependencies and even multiple potential points of failure. One of our objectives at AeroParker is to provide our clients with as much control and flexibility as possible whilst also reducing risk.

At London Stansted Airport we recently collaborated with SKIDATA to provide a direct link between our AeroParker ecommerce platform and their barriers at the airport. This has not only reduced the number of dependencies but further improved the speed with which pre-booked passengers can access parking as a result of the airport now being able to receive and process a new pre booking and send it to the barrier much faster.

For passengers this means the time between when a pre booking can be made online or mobile before actual arrival at the car park is reduced and therefore much greater flexibility is afforded to the passenger

For the airport it means that it is now a commercial decision rather than an operational one for how close to arrival pre-booking is available – putting control in the hands of the airport and an improved service for the passengers.
