The function

The Business Development Manager is a “business accelerator” in everything With the solutions you offer our customers, you enable customers to increase their turnover, create more efficiency, improve the visitor experience and recognize and capitalize on sustainable business opportunities through data insights. You are the experienced and solid discussion partner for current customers, but above all a networker, acquirer, consultant and proactively present to search for the new opportunities in the market that are abundant in the field of access solutions for people and vehicles. You use all your communication and sales skills to be successful and there is plenty of room for ownership and responsibility.

You do not shy away from a (complex) technical project and see this as an opportunity to introduce the latest applications and you think further to completely unburden the customer and give them a head start in the future. The sales team consists of 3 account managers and 3 sales support colleagues who help you to achieve the best for SKIDATA and its customers.

After a thorough induction period, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Developing, building and maintaining contacts with customers and prospects with the aim of developing long-term relationships;
  • Acting as the main and first point of contact for customers, also in the after-sales process;
  • Proactively investigating and determining customer needs and translating these into successful opportunities through TCO calculation so that the customer can choose the right solution;
  • Managing the entire sales process; market research and market analysis, drawing up sales plans, conducting acquisition and sales interviews, giving presentations, negotiating and ultimately closing the deal;
  • Ensuring proper follow-up of customer agreements, complete reporting with correct documentation in the relevant systems and good internal communication;
  • Proactively monitor trends and developments in the market and provide commercial follow-up;
  • Contribute to SKIDATA's sales strategy and growth and thus further expand SKIDATA's current position and brand awareness;
  • Participating in (inter)national trade fairs and receiving customers in Barendrecht to see the applications at work;
  • You report to the Sales Director.

  • Proven sales (hunter) experience with track record;

  • Energetic, down-to-earth, focused on cooperation and pragmatic;
  • Sharp, driven, solution-oriented and the ambition to be successful;
