Product Owner (Breda, NL)

Product Owner (Breda, NL)

We provide electric car charging solutions for municipalities and businesses. As a young, entrepreneurial organization, we are at the forefront of the sustainable energy transition. We are the green ‘underdog’ without a history in fossil fuels. Together we have the power to change the future. Our mission: 90,000 charge points by the year 2030. To strengthen our proposition and optimize the customer experience, we are looking for an enterprising Product owner.

The role & the challenge

As Product owner you have a pivotal role in making the EV driver as customer central to the use of our product, the charging station. Using knowledge of the EV market, pricing and data models, you are responsible for building a business case for the customer. These can be customers in the public market, or customers in the business market, but the proposition and case you build for them focuses on our end customer: the EV driver, who uses Opcharge’s charging services.

Within Opcharge, you fall under the CPO and founder of Opcharge. You are the first focused product hire; together with the CPO you are responsible to further develop the product in an entrepreneurial way. You provide the framework within which Opcharge operates and ensure that the product and the associated customer experience is central to our propositions.

Responsibilities

In this entrepreneurial role, you will initially build on the foundation already laid. By driving the desired product strategy, you will have a pivotal role throughout the chain. The role includes two core responsibilities:

Vision development on our product/customer experience and translate that into a clear product roadmap

  • Vision and strategy formation around “the product” of Opcharge with the goal: insight into where to turn in order to make the end customer, the EV driver a (repeat) customer of Opcharge.
  • Translate the financial model and all available data into the right focus and priorities
  • Translate the vision and strategy into clear priorities and put them away over time in the form of a Product roadmap.
  • Drive customer feedback, both from public and corporate customers, with whom Opcharge is in regular contact, and the end customer, the EV driver who knows Opcharge only from the brand experience.

Building propositions around our end customer, the EV driver.

  • By staying abreast of the latest market and product developments,
  • By knowing the public or corporate customer inside and out and knowing what a customer wants and is looking for,
  • By coming up (within the context of grid congestion) with clear pricing
  • By using data to predict what the end customer commits to Opcharge.

Skills & experience

At Opcharge, we build good relationships and consider personal contact very important. This applies to contact with external stakeholders as well as internally within the team. In addition to a good culture fit, the following is important for a good fit with the challenges in this role:

  • At least 6 years of work experience of which several years of experience in a role contributing to the energy transition or a sector related to it.
  • WO work and thinking level
  • Excellent analytical skills: does not shy away from a financial model and large amounts of data to arrive at a clear strategy and client proposition. But also, sees conceptual connections, connects the right information and knows how to separate main and secondary issues.
  • Creative in coming up with concepts and solutions, but results-oriented in execution.
  • Communicatively strong and connecting with all internal and external stakeholders in the chain

We offer

First of all, you will join an open, positive and informal team that will give you a warm welcome. A position in a dynamic and growing company with a clear vision and enthusiastic, driven people who put the customer first. An environment in which everyone takes their own responsibility, but everyone is also always willing to think with each other and help each other. In addition, we offer:
