The Spirit of the Position: We are searching for a talented Accounts Payable Manager to join our professional team. This position will be responsible for helping to manage a team of talented AP individuals as well as providing financial, administrative, and clerical services and will reporting to our Senior Director of Accounts Payable. Duties include the management and administration of our expenditures process to ensure that vendors are paid accurately and in a timely manner. This is a hybrid role which it is expected employees are in the office a minimum of 3 days a week.

Principal Job Duties:

  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to the A/P team.
  • Assist in development and adherence to A/P policies and procedures
  • Manage the vendor process workflows to ensure timely processing, and payment of all liabilities.
  • Verify that invoices comply with policies and procedures.
  • Assisting with monthly recurring payables.
  • Perform vendor account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Oversee the processing of vendor payments which includes printing checks, producing ACH batches.
  • Work directly with outside vendors and regional managers.
  • Key member of the month-end close process.
  • Supervise the 1099 reporting in compliance with IRS rules and regulations.
  • Perform other special projects as required.

  • Solid analytical and mathematical skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and take initiative
  • Excellent computer skills, including high and proven proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Adobe, and Outlook.)
  • Effective interface and communication both written and verbal means.
  • Experienced with vendor and client relations
  • Detailed oriented, highly organized individual with great attitude and commitment to continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time in order to meet set deadlines
  • Proven problem-solving abilities
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy required

Education:

  • Associates degree or higher strongly preferred

Experience:

  • Knowledge of Accounts Payable with seven or more years of full cycle
  • Experience in an automated Accounts Payable System
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with general ledger and month end close
  • Microsoft Business Central knowledge a plus
  • Knowledge of Doc-Link imaging a plus
  • Prior experience using Concur expense reporting a plus
