A Senior AWS Cloud and System Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing cloud infrastructure and systems within the AWS ecosystem.

What we expect from you

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on the AWS platform, updating configuration and architecture according to the organization’s needs in performance, availability, security, and cost.
• Implement best practices for cloud management, including process automation and configuration management.
• Manage and monitor AWS services to ensure performance, availability, and security, identifying, resolving, and following up on failures, incidents, and irregularities.
• Identify and implement improvements in cost optimization, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders (including various development teams) to develop technical solutions that meet business requirements, taking the lead in your area of expertise to promote knowledge sharing.
• Keep up with technical developments in the market and demonstrate a willingness to continuously develop yourself.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience as an AWS Cloud Engineer or in a similar role, with in-depth knowledge of AWS services and technologies, such as EC2, ECS, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, ALB, etc.
• Experience in designing and implementing complex cloud architectures.
• Experience in managing complex migration processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical abilities, and attention to detail.
• Affinity with development.
• Programming skills in languages such as Terraform, Python, or JavaScript.
• Good communication skills in Dutch and English, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Willingness to occasionally perform overnight maintenance.
• Knowledge of network/server management and automated deployments (Ansible/GitLab) is a plus.
