As an Operational Support Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and effective delivery of our services, keeping local streets safe, clean, and well-managed. Working alongside our management team, you’ll oversee operations, build strong relationships within the community, and tackle environmental and parking challenges head-on to create a thriving, harmonious neighbourhood.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Leading with Impact – Support the Assistant Contract Manager to ensure seamless service delivery and operational excellence.
  • Building Bridges – Engage with Residents’ Associations, Councillors, Police, and Business Owners to foster a strong, safe community.
  • Driving Success – Monitor budgets, payroll, and resources to maintain efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Empowering Teams – Manage and mentor a team of supervisors, providing guidance, training, and performance oversight.
  • Making a Difference – Ensure smooth deployment of staff and uphold contract requirements to maintain the integrity of Southwark’s public spaces.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Leadership & Management Experience – Minimum 3 years leading diverse teams and inspiring performance.
  • Analytical & Organised – Strong commercial acumen with the ability to present to senior management and manage KPIs.
  • Tech-Savvy – Proficiency in MS Office and experience in data collection and analysis.
  • Problem-Solver – Excellent communication skills with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
  • Licensed Driver – Full, clean UK driving licence required.
