Regional Project Manager (US)
Position Summary:
Fulfill an important role in the organization to increase overall profitability of the Project Department, while motivating and assisting the Installation Technicians to be successful in their role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Has direct overall responsibility for profit and loss of Projects and achieving operational and service goals
- Provide both remote and on-site project management and technical support for clients throughout the United States
- Apply project/program life cycle concepts to keep projects on time and in budget
- Become thoroughly knowledgeable and technically proficient with the AMI software and technology products
- Represent AMI by leading and coordinating project meetings, schedules and documentation
- Run effective meetings
- Manage customer expectations and maintain strong relationships with clients, branch and dealer personnel and subcontractors
- Manage and coordinate all branch, dealer and subcontractor personnel and scheduling during project implementations
- Provide technical and training information, and tailor supporting documentation to suit the needs of each specific client and property
- Work closely with our software support department to identify and resolve software/hardware problems. Prepare for and anticipate challenges to ensure that all project issues are resolved efficiently and proactively
- Manage and maintain client project files including system documentation, as-built drawings and supporting documentation
- Support team initiatives and assist teammates as needed
- Apply sound judgment in escalating issues as and where needed
- Use effective communication that creates a collaborative environment with all parties that the Project Team interacts with.
- Help the team accomplish results by communicating job expectations; plan, monitor and appraise job results; coach, counsel and discipline employees; develop, coordinate and enforce systems, policies, procedures and productivity standards.
- Establish strategic goals by gathering pertinent information; identify and evaluate trends and options; define objectives; choose a course of action; evaluate progress so that outcomes are in line with overall objectives
- Work with the Director, Field Team Process and Projects to establish financial objectives by forecasting; preparing annual budgets; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiate corrective action where appropriate
- Coordinate and manage all customer training for project
Qualifications
- PMP certified
- Experience in managing large projects
- Parking System construction project management experience
- Experience using project management software
- Technical background experience
- Experience reading drawings
- 20% travel
- Must be near an existing branch office
