Project Installation Technician
Position Overview
- This vital role works on all aspects of the installation of Amano McGann’s parking and access control systems. Must be proficient in all aspects of all Amano product lines including lane equipment, pay in lane and pay on foot.
Job Duties
- Install, assemble, and configure kiosks, gates, access equipment and components, computers, monitors, network infrastructure and peripherals such as printers, mobile devices, IP cameras, scanners and related hardware.
- Assist in the preparation of documentation and provide user assistance to customers.
- As needed in the installation process, troubleshoot problems with hardware and software to ensure proper and optimal installation.
- Communicate clearly and professionally via phone, email, troubleshooting systems and in person.
- Help create a collaborative and team environment for you and your coworkers.
- Work independently showing effective time management and detailed problem solving and documentation.
- Work in partnership with sub-contractors, end users and project managers.
- Focus on exceeding customer expectations.
- All other duties as assigned.
Accountabilities and Performance Measures
- “Team” oriented open communication and involvement with all branch and corporate staff and installation team.
- Tackle all installation assignments with an end goal to complete the work order as efficiently as possible without sacrificing quality.
- Work directly with the Project Installation Foreman to maintain adequate service to Amano’s clients with a minimum of overtime.
- Complete required training and development objectives within the assigned time frame
Work Environment
- Ability to work at customer locations both indoors and outdoors as needed.
- Company vehicle provided.
- Must have a basic understanding of electrical wiring.
Organizational Alignment
- Reports to the Project Installation Foreman
- Works closely and collaboratively with Project Management Team at the local or national level
