We are ParkBee. We make private parking accessible to the public. This way we can offer affordable and easy parking at A locations to the public, and at the same time generate extra income for a garage owner. We do this throughout the Netherlands and we are opening new garages weekly.
Almost any big city deals with it: parking problems. The parking pressure and the limited amount of parking spots in these cities make finding a parking spot a stressful event. This often leads to long searches for a spot and paying sky high parking rates, while there are enough parking spots available.
Think for example of all the garages of office buildings, which are often centrally located and often vacant in the evenings and weekends: a great opportunity to solve this parking problem, and currently a missed chance for some extra income for building owners.
In 2013 Jian Jiang and Tom Buchmann realised that these parking spots should be made available to the public and decided to found ParkBee. They joined the ESA Incubation Centre and Tech Incubator YES!Delft in order to develop the smart technology and to make it possible to open a parkings barrier through a cloud based platform. In 2015 ParkBee partnered up with Parkmobile and together they made parking easier and more affordable at A locations. In 2016 the user base increased with the business users of Park-line.
