Tom MatsuyamaCompany information
Optex Co., Ltd. has been providing No.1 global niche products and services to the world with our sensing technology which has been refined since its establishment and its capabilities developed to solve challenges in site-specific environments or purpose of use.
Since our founding, we have specialized in human detection sensors, making sensors for security applications and automatic doors. Recently, we have been developing vehicle detection sensors such as the OVS series.
The common concept of the OVS series is to provide a spatial sensor that can be replaced from induction loops which is buried underground.

Recent projects
OPTEX’s highly reliable vehicle detection sensor installed at prestigious Wentworth Estate
OPTEX’ s vehicle sensor, installed by GT Perimeter Protection, is helping to accurately detect vehicles, whilst ignoring human traffic, at the private Wentworth Estate in Surrey.
Wentworth, home to the world-famous golf course is regarded as one of the UK’s most prestigious addresses. Over the years, Sir Elton John, Sir Bruce Forsyth, sport stars and international royalty have all called it home.
Above ground vehicle sensor solves induction loop detection issues at perimeter exit
The subsiding ground caused detection problems with the induction loop at a site exit. After installing our OPTEX OVS-02GT above-ground vehicle detection sensor, the exit is functioning properly again.
Introduction
Van der Panne is a scaffolding company for large and small projects. At their location in Hendrik Ido Ambacht in the Netherlands, they store all their materials. Due to this there is a lot of traffic on the premises, from cars to heavy transport. When constructing the premises exit for Van der Panne, Geran Handel B.V. installed an automatic sliding gate and a barrier.

Product information
Vehicle Detection Sensor - VIRTUAL LOOP OVS-02GT
The Virtual Loop vehicle detectors are a great solution for sites where ground loops cannot be installed, such as when the road surface is damaged or unsealed, where there are cobble stones, or above drains or pipes.
The OVS-02GT detects the presence of a small or large stationary or moving vehicles within 8 meters while ignoring human traffic. It is easy to install; unlike ground loops, no civil works are required, and the device is mounted 500 mm from the ground. The OVS-02GT connects to an automatic barrier, slide gate, swing gate and industrial door. All of setting is done by smart phone App which support iOS and Android. It is possible to set all of setting by App and has 11 default setting for barrier, slide, swing gates. A lot of parameters adjustment, the calibration and the sensor status could be set by the App.
Vehicle Detection Sensor - OVS-50TNR
The OVS-50TNR Monitored Hybrid Photoelectric Beam offers cost-effective, stable and versatile Active Infrared detector. The AIR dual beam set offers extreme stability in all kinds of weather. No wiring is required at the Transmitter side, which means less installation time and lower labor costs, plus there is no need to cut the driveway. The OVS-50TNR has a battery life of eight years and a long range: up to 15 m(50 feet), point to point.
ViiK Parking Occupancy System
Possible to install easily for existing parking or temporary one.
The sensor is battery operated, so no hardwire required. Since the battery lasts approximately 5 years, it doesn’t require any maintenance. Also the battery is replaceable and it will help to save the equipment replacement cost. This sensor could be installed to concrete, asphalt or gravel surface by changing bolts or anchor pins.
