Soon people in Stockholm, Sweden who park their car at a Q-Park garage, will be able to experience the many advantages of pay-by-phone. Q-park, Sweden-based car park operator, today announced it has signed a deal with the provider of payment services for mobile phones, Seamless.
Seamless will provide their mobile parking app, SEQR, to provide the pay-by-phone function for several Q-Park parking garages around Stockholm. With this parking app you use your phone to scan a QR-code that allows you to pay for your parking session. It is also possible to use SEQR to extend your parking session from a distance. This means that, for example, when you’re shopping you don’t have to rush back to the parking garage when your time is about to expire.
In order to use the parking app, you must first create an online account. After your parking session, you immediately receive a digital receipt, and at the end of each month you receive an invoice.
