Rony founded Precise Group after working extensively in the Parking Guidance Industry for a number of years. During his time developing the Asia Pacific market for Parking Guidance, Rony observed that there were no OEM-level companies offering LED displays with a clear application based focus. So upon exiting the Parking Guidance business, the Rony set up Precise Group Technologies (also called Precise Displays).
The founding team set out to establish themselves as an OEM-vendor engineering LED Displays that were optimized for the needs of the parking industry as an OEM vendor. The focus was to engineer displays that were built to purpose taking into consideration the realities of the industry such as unit economics, flexibility in functionality, future-proofing, reliability, and value-added support as a vendor in non-technical matters such as inventory and commercial terms.
The initial focus of Precise Group has turned into its core vision, which is to create value through engineering products to be most suited for its use cases and unit economics.
Journey
The idea for our Version 1 signs was thus formed. A journey had begun to gather the best talents to realize this vision. The first set of signs was produced in 2013. Thanks to feedback from our clients on Version 1, and the learning from this development, our Theon Lite Series was developed. The Theon Lite Series signs were robust and very light in its design. However the Theon Lite Series not very flexible as it was built specifically for the Parking Guidance applications.
The next development was Theon SMART series, was a very unique and smartly engineered sign to suit almost all parking related applications. The Smart Series’ USP is it’s software configurable features that enabled it to be plugged in at the time of installation and commissioned remotely for communications and content. This was a big leap from the days when installers had to use a ladder to configure dip-switches as part of the installation and commissioning process. At present, our LED displays can be found all over the world from the United States to Europe; from the Middle East to the Asia-Pacific region, including Russia.
In addition to the above, our current product range includes Theon SMART MATRIX series signs, which offer outdoor rated, full-color, full-matrix capability for maximum flexibility in information content along with the hallmark Precise reliability. Theon SMART MATRIX series signs comply with most tender requirements world-wide whilst having a hardware cost that is the most competitive globally.
Growth Focus
Precise continues to lead with innovation as its foremost driver. Precise now works with the top players in the industry to develop custom displays for their individual needs and styles. With Precise as a partner, our clients continue to stay ahead of the curve.
One area of focus for the future is IoT-based displays for industrial applications. Precise is currently working on a number of concepts that will see it’s adoption in the real world soon.
