ParkWhiz raised $10 million in venture funding, which allows them to hire more people and boost partnerships with big players in order to become part of the "smart car" / "connected car" future.
ParkWhiz is a Chicago-based company that provides an app that lets users find and book available parking in garages. In addition, ParkWhiz allows parking garage owners to manage and market their parking garage via the app and website. The funding round was led by investor Jump Capital, also based in Chicago.
Mr. Dalal, CEO and co-founder of ParkWhiz, says the funding will allow ParkWhiz to focus more on their core markets and expand their geographical footprint. They also plan to hire 50 new employees within the next 2 years, which will triple their current workforce.
