What started as a landing strip on top of a lake in 1916, has quickly become one of the busiest airports in Europe with 322 destinations worldwide and over 60 million passengers per year.
Schiphol Airport is constantly looking for ways to optimize its space to continue offering passengers exemplary service. Parking is no exception. Schiphol recently expanded car park P1 increasing its capacity with over 500 spaces.
A more recent project involved an autonomous transport that took passengers to their cars. The WePod moved passengers to their cars as Schiphol tested the possibilities of this self-driving, electric transport as a viable addition to its infrastructure.
