Motorists who park on the streets around the Concord Hospital in Canada Bay, Australia, now have the option to pay by phone using CellOPark Australia’s parking app.
CellOPark Australia is a leader in pay-by-phone and pay-by-app solutions for parking.
Michael Doherty, General Manager of CellOPark Australia, said: “We are excited to be selected by the City of Canada Bay as a technology partner and are very pleased to be able to offer our solution, that is enjoyed by members in other states, to motorists here in our home state of New South Wales”, according to the news item on PRWire.com.au
Motorists can now download the CellOPark app and complete the one-time registration process on their smartphone to create a personal account.
QR-based technology makes the process of paying for parking very easy and convenient for the end-user: Just scan the QR code on the CellOPark zone signage to start your parking session.
The enforcement officers of Canada Bay can check the license plates to see if the parking has been paid for. The vehicle licence plates are checked in their own system via a handheld device connected to the internet.
This new ticketless payment method is not only easy and convenient for the motorists, but also easy to enforce for the city.
The technology is being deployed as a 6 month trial.
