TagMaster Launches New reader System Software release 1.6.0, Ease of Use
TagMaster launches the new reader System Software release (SSW) 1.6.0, named Ease of Use.
This new SSW is focused on providing an intuitive and standardized experience of the TagMaster reader. This introduction shows the TagMaster commitment to taking long range RFID solutions beyond the issue of read range and similar system imitations. This new software will add to the unique position for TagMasters Access family of RFID products designed to suite all access identification applications where TagMaster readers are being used.
The TagMaster GEN4 reader is using a Linux operating system providing a powerful platform for the reader applications. It also provides an open environment where partners using the TagMaster Software Development Kit (SDK) can develop their own reader applications. This has proven to be a success for many partners making it possible to adopt the TagMaster RFID platform to the requirements in various market segments.

This new System Software contains a set of new functionality but also a new look-and-feel focused on simplicity and consistence built up using frames. All TagMaster applications will appear in the same way and will all be available for configuration via web interface. It will now be possible for partners developing their own applications also to design their own web configuration layout.
Among other functionality introduced in release 1.6.0 the built in Spectrum scan (presented below) is a useful tool during installations. Automatic configuration of all network parameters when a DHCP server is available simplifies installation when using TCP/IP communication. The security for the reader has been improved with password protection and a specific web page has been designed for demonstration purposes to facilitate live demonstration of readers.
